Past weekend NYC hosted the 2016 International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF). Participating exhibitors from Europe, Canada and US displayed their latest designs in furniture, lighting, and home décor. One category that attracted my attention and was the highlight of the show is the bathroom furniture.

Bathroom vanities:

The most noteworthy was a luxurious lineup of contemporary bathroom vanities by THE FURNITURE GUILD. There were a few new additions to already impressive catalog of transitional and classical furniture. Refined finishes, remarkable design, well-devised interiors kept bringing me back to their inspiring stand.

Presentations by MILLDUE (the unfortunate name of Italian manufacturer), Duravit, Cooper Graham would satisfy any enthusiasts of modern bathroom design.

Soaking tubs:

Cooper & Graham debuted new free standing soaking tub, impressive not only aesthetically but also from engineering point of view. Oceania, a Canadian manufacturer, created buzz with two tone soaking tub and cost effective solutions to wet rooms.

Plumbing fixtures and appliances:

Samuel Heath, a leader in luxury bathroom fixtures, offered fresh take on its collection of contemporary fixtures by introducing cutting-edge “black and gold chrome” finish. The results are simply outstanding. The trend was picked up by Toto, Duravit as well as Lefroy Brooks.
Toto introduced Neorest line of plumbing fixtures to complement the king of the toilets.

The bathroom is becoming the most exhilarating room in the house……. after the kitchen.
